Standard First Aid (Level C), AED and CPR

We are excited to offer this training in our annual calendar after having some time away. This training will be offered live on-site at our Training Centre, located at 65 Wellesley St. east, suite 501.

Standard First Aid (Level C), AED And CPR Two-Day Training

This in-depth program is a full working session, directly applicable to the work environment and deals with potentially life-threatening situations as well as Secondary Victim Assessments. The Standard First Aid program, advanced in its’ elective topics, allows ADET Inc. the ability to customize the program to fulfill the needs of the group, workplace, job related experience or personal interest.  The Bloodborne Pathogen program and the Heartsaver (adult & child) CPR course is included in the Standard First Aid Program. ** Standards taught reflect the New CPR Guidelines and Standards released in November 2010 and approved by the HSFC and the AHA and meet WSIB requirements. Topics include: unconsciousness, adult & child CPR, choking, bleeding, shock and severe life-threatening allergies, epilepsy, diabetes, head trauma and burns. These sessions are practically oriented, encouraging contributions from participants. Group interaction, practice and discussion are maximized.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will gain an understanding of the following:

  • Primary and Secondary Surveys.
  • Heat induced emergencies (heat cramps, heat exhaustion & stroke).
  • Multiple Injury Management.
  • Infant/Child Resuscitation (CPR).

Total Cost for the Two-Day Training

Cost for members is $200.00 per person and cost for non-members is $210.00 per person.

Standard First Aid (Level C), AED and CPR Re-Certification

“In order to renew a Standard First Aid Certificate, the learner, on a one-time basis only, may have the certificate renewed by completing a one-day Standard First Aid Renewal Course with the original provider. The learner may attend this course as long as the Standard First Aid Certificate has not expired” – WSIB.

  • Those seeking to renew an expired ADET Inc. Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate must take the Standard First Aid and CPR Two-Day Training.
  • Please include a copy of your most recent Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate with registration.
  • The Re-certification is valid for three years. Heartsaver CPR skills are refreshed annually.

This in-depth one day working session, directly applicable to the work environment, will refresh and retrain those who are current with their “Standard First Aid & CPR” certificate.  Recertifying the First Responder’s knowledge and skills allows for the most recent standards to be introduced while solidifying those once acquired.

Before THTC can proceed with your registration request(s), please note the following:

  • Participants must hold a valid Standard First Aid Certificate from the original training provider – ADET Inc. – in order to attend this course.
  • In turn, the participant(s) current certificate must be submitted via fax/ email, along with the registration request(s) for verification and approval

The most recent certificate must be no more than three years old. Those seeking to renew an expired Standard First Aid and CPR Re-Certification must take the Standard First Aid and CPR Two-Day Certification.

*DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR REQUEST WITHOUT FIRST SUBMITTING YOUR CURRENTLY VALID CERTIFICATE FROM ADET INC.

Important Details

In order to participate in the session all participants will be asked to sign a waiver.

THTC requires participants to sign a waiver for any training that involves physical engagement and/or activity. The waiver releases THTC of liability, assumption of risk and indemnity. It is the responsibility of the participant to behave in a professional manner and relay any physical concerns to the facilitator at the onset of the workshop. If the waiver has not been signed, we are unfortunately unable to accept participants into this training.

  • You must be prompt and present for the course – full participation is required in both the two-day training and the re-certification. Any time missed will result in certificates not being issued.
  • Participants will receive a training manual and certificate.
  • Please wear comfortable clothing and running shoes.

Expiry Date

This certificate is valid of 3 years.
