Live Online – Case Management in a Drop-in Setting

In order to maintain the programming and physical spaces to continue to provide this high level of training, the Centre and its Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to increase our training fees, effective November 15, 2022 and membership fees, effective January 1, 2023. 

The Toronto Hostels Training Centre is open to the public Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm to assist with registering or paying for a training.

Supporting participant led goals is a sector best practice, and a key function of the role the drop-in sector plays in the lives of vulnerable people. It is critical to facilitate a supportive relationship, while understanding individual and systemic factors which impacts drop-in participants. Advocating for services and systems creates positive outcomes in drop-in settings. This course is taught by TDIN staff and subject matter experts. Resources to increase the capacity of workshop participants will be provided.

  • You must be prompt for the course – any time missed will result in certificate not being issued.
  • This training is interactive, all attendees are required to participate.
  • Upon successful completion, a certificate of attendance will be issued.

  • Examine tools to support participant-driven decision making.
  • Enhance understanding of how systems and services are navigated.
  • Learn to effectively support self-advocacy, advocacy in service provision and systemic advocacy.
  • Help participants to identify and plan for goals.
